Fucking read it!

Preferably BEFORE you comment on any 'contentious' refereeing decisions.

Now, I'd like to see a referee get that decision right.

That doesn't include goal kicks does it? Say if Rob Green was getting ready for a goal kick, and slips and accidentally kicks it back into his own goal  , would that be a corner as well?

A goal may be scored directly from a goal kick, but only against the opposing team.

From my memory way back when I was trained as a ref - You cannot turn around and kick the ball into your own net. If say the wind was bad, and the ball went into the goal before anyone else touched it, then it goes out for a corner.

That's right. It's funny reffing U12's and trying to tell the team who benefits from the own goal that it's not an own goal and only a corner
