Glad someone's got their head screwed on.
Quote:But up front is where his dilemma is, play an out of form Cahill and play an inform Holman up front to run around like a headless chook or play both with Rukavytsya up front to play with a front three who have speed to burn against a big slow Serbian defence, this would result in dropping a defensive midfielder which would be Culina. But up front is where his dilemma is, play an out of form Cahill and play an inform Holman up front to run around like a headless chook or play both with Rukavytsya up front to play with a front three who have speed to burn against a big slow Serbian defence, this would result in dropping a defensive midfielder which would be Culina .
The best solution is probably to stick with 4-2-3-1 (I can't believe I just said that) and have Kennedy setting the defensive line, have Bresciano, Cahill and Holman in just behind (from L-R), Holman running straight at Vidic and exposing him to the pace and pressure, balls not to Kennedy's head, but to his feet becasue Vidic will crush us aerially. Use Kennedy to lay the ball off one-touch to Bresc, Cahill or Holman as they move through, keep the pressure on Vidic and you could well get him sent off as we know he gets flustered.
Worth noting that he struggled a little against Maierhofer as well during the season. So I don't know that he'll necessarily dominate against the height.
