The media is rife with speculation about a mass exodus from the Socceroos with many players supposedly contemplating retirement but Kewell said he had heard no talk of players quitting.
“No one is talking about retirement,” Kewell said.
“I know there is one player who may [retire] but other than that everyone else is up for it.”
Kewell said he had no plans to quit the international scene.
“That is speculation again. People don’t bother to find out the true facts. It is a shame about that and then obviously speculation starts rolling and the next minute there is a big mountain out there that is completely rubbish.”

Hmmm I think there are going to be quite a few to be fair, but maybe some of the boys want to have one more tilt at the Asian Cup before calling it a day.

With respect to Moore, he is no longer good enough for the national team. That however isn't reflective of how good he has been for the Australian team, and his selection for Australia was not such a wise one. Thanks Moore.
Grella I feel had mental problems for this WC, especially in the lead up, and may have been due to his lack of club game time. He also probably shouldn't have been selected, and especially not in the starting 11 given the alternatives available.
Other than those two I don't think any of the other older players were poor. And overall they are showing a willingness to help the younger players take their place, which is really good to see.
