He plays centre back in Denmark and you've lost Gallas, Silvestre and Senderos plus Campbell may be going to Celtic so given Arsene's Scottish like love of young bargains I wouldn't write this one off. He's reportedly being tracked by 3 or 4 Serie A clubs - and that news was out before the World Cup - if he's good enough for them he's good enough for the Arse.

We've got Vermaelen and Djourou plus Campbell has been offered a one year extension and wants to stay. Wenger is also wanting to being in a young French CB from Lorient. Reid would be behind all of them.

Glad you are so close to Wenger, how many sugars does he have in his coffee:)

 It's not as if it's some big secret. It's been confirmed in the media that he's been offered a new contract and he himself has said he'd love to stay at Arsenal..

Oh and it's two by the way;)

From Sky Sports UK

Sol Campbell has travelled to Celtic's training ground to hold talks over a proposed summer switch to the Scottish club.

The veteran defender spent the second half of last season at Arsenal during his second spell at the club, but the short-term deal expired in the summer.

It means the 35-year-old is now a free agent and can join another club, with the Bhoys and Premier League side Newcastle both believed to be interested.

The former England international looks to be edging towards a switch to Neil Lennon's side, who finished last season trophyless and in the wake of Old Firm rivals Rangers.

Campbell feels he still has plenty to offer at the highest level and was looking to extend his second stint at Emirates Stadium.

However, no deal was put on the table at the end of the season, and a move north of the border looks a strong possibility as Campbell and Celtic began face-to-face negotiations on Tuesday.
