Excellent blog, David. Whenever top seeds crash out, there are always windows of opportunity for the smaller nations. In this case, Uruguay and Ghana are taking advantage of the opportunities Australia could not seize. Germany v. Argentina is huge. I think the winner has a very good chance of going all the way. But they probably have to beat Brasil for the Cup.

Why they didn't stick this octopus in a tank full of thirty-two boxes and ask it to pick the winner in the first place is beyond me... would have saved a lot of time!
