I would hardly say that Portugal put on a performance for football lovers. They were poor against both Brazil and the Ivory Coast and got luck against North Korea. The fact that they only managed to score against North Korea is a clear indication that they simply weren't good enough.

Well, you were right about only one goal settling it (even it took 18 shots to get it).
As for Brazil, I agree with this:
"The pace, flicks and trick-shots are their (sic), but just a little more subtle - deliberately contained. "
Brazilians can do all that shit but they get told not to because it looks bad if they lose. They are certainly playing within themselves, but who is going to lift them to the next level? Holland? Hmmn, I dunno.
They might not get a chance to really show how good they are until the final. Let's hope they turn up for it.
