This is likely a good thing foer us. It is the typical style of the US to try this kind of act, even when its been made clear that it will go to Europe.

In the eyes of the European bidders/ delegates this is likely to be a very negativve thing to do. The longer they stay in, the longer the odds of a US win in 2022 I would suspect.

What do you think about the FourFourTwo article USA Standing By 2018 Bid?
BID director David Downs insists the USA is fully committed to bidding for the 2018 World Cup as it has not received a "compelling enough reason to drop out".

Have your say.

The USA are playing off UEFAs delegates as they already have 3 votes to play with-we didn't have that luxury
Hopefully we can pickup a majority of UEFA because its our best chance of surviving the early rounds. After that it should take care of itself once Qatar are eliminated

Australia has 2 firm votes, maybe more from Africa or S.America.

Who is the 2nd firm vote? The oceania guy is one, but the 2nd I am not sure.
