Indeed, that's more recent news (relative terms). Though I can't be bothered to source it right now, I recall that with his latest contract renewal/extension, he was offered a coaching gig with the club, post playing career.
And I recall being quite excited by the idea, as he would be a trailblazer, the first exported young Aussie with a coaching set up with a half decent club in a half decent league. We've had guys like Postecoglou and Nick Theo' have very brief stints in Greece's lower leagues, but that was the best of it I think.
So maybe Chippers could start a trend there, that hopefully guys like Poppa, Moore and others follow. And maybe one of them could end up down the track being our first Aussie to coach the Socceroos since Arnold, come circa 2022, hehe.
