Martin O'Neill is being linked with the West Ham United job.

The Sun says if the Hammers board ditch Avram Grant, ex-Aston Villa boss O'Neill would be first choice, with ex-England coach Glenn Hoddle or former managers Alan Pardew and Alan Curbishley in the frame.

Hammers have appointed ex-Brentford boss Wally Downes as a defensive coach after conceding 25 goals in 14 League games.

And they are keen on having a second specialist attack coach, with Paolo di Canio and John Hartson both linked with the job.
