After Argentine Damian Zalio failed his trial, the Mariners have continued their search for a striker. The current word on the street from "a never before wrong source" is that we are about to sign a Norwegian striker who was golden boot in the Norwegian league at some stage in his career.

Possibilities:

(From Wiki)
2005: Ole Martin Årst (Tromsø I.L.) 16 goals
2006: Daniel Nannskog (Stabæk I.F.) 19 goals
2007: Thorstein Helstad (S.K. Brann) 22 goals
2008: Daniel Nannskog (Stabæk I.F.) 16 goals
2009: Rade Prica (Rosenborg BK) 17 goals
2010: Baye Djiby Fall (Molde FK) 16 goals

Who could it be? :-k

Norway have a terrible league nothin to impressive about this signing

As a Scandinavian I can tell you that it's certainly no worse than the A-League, that's for sure. If it's Rade Prica, that would be one hell of a signing, but he's in his prime right now and playing for Rosenborg who are an institution in Scandinavian football and consistently doing well in European football as well. Can't see why he would want to trade that for a spot with Central Coast right now.

Djiby Fall is unlikely as well, unless Central Coast are willing to pay a fair buck for him. He just returned from Molde to Lokomotiv Moscow and if they are selling him, I could definitely see some of the bigger Danish clubs such as OB, or Brøndby being interested in acquiring his services.
