When you suggest utilising house rules for each training session I assume you mean things like: A goal is only valid if scored from the head. A player must take no more than 3 seconds before releasing a pass. You must touch the ball with two legal parts of the body each possession (left foot, right foot, chest, head) prior to passing. You can only shoot/pass with your off foot. Etc. I can see how this would force a player group to focus on particular skill sets during a session, however at what age group are you indicating this should be utilised and how do you then also correct technique or even teach it to a player who does not get it? If you had a squad of 15 players for example would you set them up in 3 groups of 5 and have team a vs team b whilst team c engages in a skill session and then rotate them through?
