You're obviously not a keeper. Sitting on that bench as a keeper is a nightmare. To train day in, day out and have the league's best keeper infront of you is doing no good for him. He needs, just like all keepers, game practice. There is no better way to improve as a keeper than game related situations and/or actual games.

The lad needs to move on, simple as that. With Izzo now knocking on his door, he's time to become a number one is now.

Meh, I would tell him to go now. He could get a starting spot at certain clubs (such as mine - Sydney FC). Izzo should move in as the back-up goalkeeper. Adelaide doesn't lose much, Sydney gains (or another club), Izzo gains and Birighitti gains.

As mack said, just because he's young does not mean he should settling for being on the bench when he's good enough to start.

he is 19 how and who knows if he is developed enough he played 2 ok games he made saves look alot better then they needed to be he is still in his development stage no reason he has to leave at all stupid is he does

There's no reason why in Australia a keeper should have to be second string just because he's young.

why would he need to go he is like 19 or 20 ??? asking for first team football at that age is a big call

let him force his way in if he is still second string at 23 then move on but no reason at all that he should leave now

Birra's problem is that he is quality. When you can have someone like himas well as Hugene would you let them go easily? I would love it if he could be loaned out and have Izzo as our backup until Hugene moves or retires (unlikely). I am going to be very sad to see Birra go elsewhere...

Saw a few interesting tweets suggesting that Mark Birighitti may be the next Adelaide United player on his way out. As much as I like Birra, I don't think Eugene is going anywhere so it's probably in his best interests to move on.

According to transfermarkt.de Birighitti is valued at 250,000EUR or 340.894.34AUD (same as Mustafa Amini)

Would be nice if we picked up a fee like that for him. My bet is he'll go to an Italian club due to his heritage and eligibility.
