1st thing 1st - I visit 442 every single day, IMO its the best football website in Australia. I love the coverage, i love the staff and i love talking shit with forum members.

BUT

the 442 insider/podcast should be done by Australias, not like "g day mate" but people like/who sound like David basheer, mark bosnic, robbie slater, people who dont have accents.

IM NOT RACIST but my argument is people still think this is a WOG game and when they hear POMS on the podcast it sends a msg that this is a poms game.

And the picture with the 2 guys on the pod cast, the 2 poms wearing Austrlian Socceroo jerseys its just wrong....

If people think it's a Wog game, then they aren't likely to be fans of the game. And if they aren't fans, why would they bother listening?

Simon Hill shouldn't be on our screens because he's British.

I think you should employ an indigenous Australian as an office messenger boy to send all correspondence to fans and talk on the podcast. In Koori or Nyoongar. So only real Australians can understand it. Only problem will be that Aussies associate aboriginal people with AFL so people might think it's an AFL podcast. So maybe you should get Steve Waugh to do the podcast instead. Yeah. That'll work.

Why dont you see TONY PALUMBO on SBS TV anymore? (he is still emplyed by sbs) Hes got a heavy accent and Australia already has enough issues with Soccer and ethenic violence, hooligans etc. Not having there is giving Football a better image in this country because it needs it.

Anyone is free to launch an Australian football magazine, web site and podcast....you're welcome to give it a crack if you don't like people not born here doing it for you.

If you want a podcast with an Aussie accent, maybe try Nearpost or SEN? You won't get the insight and humour (no disrespect to Eamonn or SEN either), but you'll hear fully-pronounced t's and h's.

DIdnt Tony Palumbo go off the air cos no one could hear a word he was saying. He was impossible to understand.

Palumbo is on the SBS website with short video segments reviewing the Italian game all the time.

Just bring him out for the Italian national team games so we can hear him say "its a disgrace" after their first half performance all the time :lol:

Really cannot see the problem with the FFT boys wearing Socceroos tops. Their tireless efforts and unbiased reporting* is a testament to their commitment of the sport in this country. So too is the fan/consumer base they've developed to rival the SBS's World Game with [seemingly] a fraction of the resources. The podcast itself was born out of demand from this very forum; they haven't just thrust it upon us.

You can't wear Barcelona shirts, you can't wear English, German, Italian, Greek, Croatian, Argentinian national team jerseys...ever...unless you were born there and have the respective passport.
