Wolves FC and Rochedale Rovers will have to replay their Brisbane Premier League Grand Final after a floodlight failure at Perry Park this Sunday. Over 2000 fans packed into the construction site to first witness North Star defeat Moggill 3-0 in Division 1, before the monster clash between two of Queensland's most dominant sides was abandoned at half time.
Wolves had taken a 1-0 lead into the break thanks to Kado Aoci's powerful 15th minute drive. Trent Clulow also missed a golden opportunity for Wolves early on, before Keenan Duimpies hit the crossbar for Rochedale. But as the sun began to set below the Bill Waddell Stand it appeared all was not right as only 2 of the 4 poles of floodlights started working.
Football Brisbane officials tried desperately to find a solution to the problem, however theses attempts proved unsuccessful and the match was subsequently abandoned much to the disappointment of the bumper crowd.
