The place where you post what you think the forum needs to improve.

Ill kick it off.

We need a shout out thing at the bottom of the list of subforums. A little thing that is for the little shout outs and BS that doesnt warrant a post and addition to the post count. A place where you can acknowledge other people online. A place where single word and single smileys posts are encouraged. I think it would bring more people to the site, and maybe it should be a members only thing.

What else do we need? :-k

I believe that's what you call a "personal message".
What I think we need is to enforce people thinking before they hit that 'post' button.

I think you mean those anti bot, spam catcher, case sensitive "rewrite these letters" thingy magiggs.

If you hadn't realised, FourFourTwo is a magazine first, website second, a billboard on PES third, and forum somewhere beyond. The forums are hardly the drawcard, especially since January.

The forum is quite simple and does everything required to publish your opinion. Doesn't need the little luxuries that clutter the screen.

Well if you don't want them, you can always go back to old school IRC.

And I can easily remove signatures if you don't want them.



So you say that will bring people to the site... yet you have to be a member to use it... um.. yes. This idea won't happen. Ever.

mk wants to turn 442 into his own personal MySpace/Facebook hybrid thing where spam is encouraged. There are other pointless websites for all that you want mk. This is a football forum where people can comment on articles and put in their 2 cents ( but usually its a couple of pence) and discuss, debate and what not. Its not a social network for teenagers to do shoutouts and go overboard on smileys.

If anything, that would turn people away from the site instead of drawing them in. The target audience is football fans of any age. Not people under the age of 17.

LMAO! Web guy. I knew that was a bit contradictory but i thought word would get out. Ha! It was a bad idea i ave to admit. It would probably result in an influx of TWG forumites which would not be good. It doesnt mean that other ideas cant go in here though.

LOL, IRC, havent used that in years. Spent spare hours playing Trivia instead of wasting my time on HSC studies :lol:

Disable them from everyone but moderators. ;)
