After having his contract terminated by Newcastle Jets, Chris Payne is in talks with Sydney Olympic for the 2012 NSWPL season Probably wouldn't be the worse thing he could do. I would have thought he'd have gone back to Manly tbh. yeah same, but at O-LYM-PIC he will be at a club with a good coach and a good roster of players and a club SEEN to be on it's game

And one that has come from way out of left field and has shocked me is Juho Makela the Finnish bloke from the a-league apparently being courted by Olympic also, fun times ahead if this happens parisi on his day is still a vey good player. would be a great pick up although didnt see too much of him for apia. i think he'll stay. makela is rubbish. he is fit and can run but his first touch is woeful. i doubt he'd drop to state league.

His contract is up in April, and he's not being re-signed. Will be surprised if he stays in Australia with another A-League team, will piss myself Les Murray style if he goes State League.

Youre sounding a bit bitter there mate i think annoyed is a better word. its a matter of principle. i think when u say something, your word should mean something. i also think people should always conduct negotiations in good faith and show courtesy to those who they are dealing with. i'll leave it at that. good luck to utd, good luck to hayes. we save a fair chunk of coin and its a long way to go before the season starts and our squad is not yet finalised. lol....c'mon Kolner this is football, this shit happens all the time, i can't recall how many times coaches have offered me something and then bare faced lied and backed out, not just shit coaches but leading coaches at leading clubs...... anyway whats the rockdale squad looking like, how many have you got signed sealed and delivered??? squad is nearly finalised. a couple of spots maybe and a couple still might be cut. theyre ripping in at training and look a lot sharper than same tim last year. support staff have been fantastic. jagelman and cvetanovski look very good. fingers crossed cvetanovski can beat his injuries cause injury free hes a fantastic player. you dont make the bench at gladbach for no reason. anyway, see how we go. naidovski is still a while off after having his knee done in the off season. put it this way, if we get all our players on the field, im very confident we will do better than last year. and yeah, still a long time to go before the season starts.

I am sure he did not sign for peanuts, and would still be handsomely rewarded at United. He is not playing for charity and would still be one of the highest earners in the NSWPL. Personally I would have taken the cash, if it really was 1800 bucks. The guy is in his mid-20s and unlikley to make a professional career out of the game so why not take the money?! Edited by ralerasic: 19/1/2012 10:19:05 AM vecause JP and co at utd convinced him if he stayed there hes got the best chance of finally getting an elusive pro contract somewhere.

SK isnt the type to play those games. I'd be very surprised if it was a 'substantial' increase on last year

Edited by ralerasic: 19/1/2012 10:19:05 AM He's nowhere near what the rumoured amount at Rockdale was. Respect to him for sticking around with big bucks on offer, whatever the reason might be I am thinking Hayesy put that figure out in the market place to get a wage increase from United. No doubt he did receive a substantial increase on last year, but as I said I am happy to concede it wasn't the rumoured 1800. Just like Rooney did with Man Utd last season, and players all over the world do every day.
