Good to see an official launch, but the article is a bit misleading. Kwabena played Super League for Spirit FC last season, will only play for Parramatta in the NSWPL this season, and he also hasn't graduated to A-League yet (only NYL at this stage) What do you think about the FourFourTwo article The A-League Breeding Ground? THE BREEDING ground for the A-League kicked off its new season with the NSW Premier League launch at Sydney's Allianz Stadium in an all-star lavish spectacular.Have your say.

Since no A-League is there a reason Canberra United can't be allowed to join the NSWPL??

Kwabena never played NSW Premier League before so that is a false statement and complete bullshit.
Kwabena went from NSWSL outfit Spirit FC where he finished the season then in preparation for his CCM trials attended the Australasian Soccer Academy where the academy coaches put the finishing polish prior to trials. Kwabena did play a pre-season trial game for CCM firsts against Bankstown City.
Kwabena has just signed up for PFC this coming season.
I was speaking to Kwabena last night and he is really happy to join Parramatta FC this year to help the club and keep in top condition for CCM for next season.

pete, the NSWPL don't want a Canberra team because its to far for them to travel on a bus. Oh and that they don't want the trophy to come to Canberra as it is too embarrassing for them for that to happen.

LOL you're dreaming on the trophy going to Canberra and teams go down to Wollongong to play the Wolves every season, so Canberra wouldnt be that difficult to go to once a year @Pete there is no Canberra United team to join the NSWPL

Belconnen did not win the 2004/5 NSWPL. Bankstown did. Belconnen were not kicked out of the NSWPL. Belconnen withdrew because they could not afford to send their team to Sydney every second week.

Some nice facts there Upon further research. Belconnen were never NSWPL Champions, they were NSWPL Minor Premiers in 2003-2004 (The NSL was still running at this point, but still a great feat from a small club)) and lost the NSWPL Grand Final to Bankstown Lions in 2003-2004 as well

It's great that it is a breeding ground, but when are the FFA and A-League clubs going to recognise this and give state league clubs a real transfer fee?

The FFA/FNSW wont allow a team from another federation to 'cross borders'
Dont think it's a club issue at all.

There are always rumours of Canberra Croatia joining the NSWPL. I am not in favour because it is not fair to the teams in the Super League - Bankstown, Canterbury-Marrickville Berries, St George - who would deserve promotion if they finished first. If a Canberra team wants to defect to NSW, they can either join at the bottom of the pyramid, or fill in the gap of a team that goes bankrupt or withdraws, there is always one every year.
