Hey guys me and a few of my mates are interested in starting our own football club in the Hawkesbury area in new south wales. Windsor being a highly populated area in the Hawkesbury without a football team, we were wondering what it takes to start up a club with money not being an issue as 2 of my mates run successful local businesses. Obviously it will be different for every association you play under, just need a vague idea of what is required. Cheers.

Amazing reply... so helpful.

I've been part of starting a club up in Victoria.

Process should be something similar with FNSW. Contact the federation first and ask them to send you out some information. Will probably have to make an expression of interest or something similar.

Get an idea of what you will need in terms of committee members, and the process for incorporating as a company.

Then start approaching local councils and try to find out what is available in terms of grounds. Though you may have left it late for the upcoming season.

Thank you very much for your help. My mate already wrote an email to the local association I play under but received no reply, obviously FNSW is the way to go. Cheers

I think his reply hit the nail on the head.

But to fair to vincenzo, i must ask him this.
Have you ever gone down and tried supporting a local club in the past?
Do you have any experience in running a club?
What are your reason's for wanting to start a club?
