Because we have state league teams here we can play against. We dont need to waste our money on playing you guys just so you can get a quick ego boost.

There would be many many parallels between the 2 clubs and their operational model

smfc in HAL would attract 7K minus marketing and upward of 10k with marketing

our fanbase is a dormant base - however we do have 5k members - but they do not watch amatuer hour - you see the VPL is a commercial break - this is when viewers rush off to make a cup of coffee or take the washing out of the washer - smfc is a top flight team - not a VPL break

WSW fans beware: when smfc returns - your fan club will look like a bunch of kids with pimples on their faces

Yeah, thrashing small states sides certainly isn't the sort of thing that the Premiers should be thinking about at this stage of the seaosn.

you guys are a great outcome - especially in their first season - but you are just a nail clipping compared to smfc - its achievements and its legacy

you still have a looooooooooong way to go sunshine

4 Premierships & 4 Championships over 27 years? That's great, but you're not that far in front. We could be ahead of you in 10 years. We've already got 1 of the Premierships as well.

Your legacy is what then? All I see now is a mediocre state league side who's best days are past them.

For reference currently, biggest professional football clubs in Victoria:

1. Melbourne Victory
2. Melbourne Heart

Logic mate, something you lack.

South Melb are one of, if not, Australias most successful clubs and have a very proud history. If they were to ever play in the A-League they wouldve been there from day one.

They will never play top flight football again because of the ethnic tag attached to the club.
