The olive and Branch in Surrey Hills, at least I think that's what it's called. Quite close to the SFS.
The Hillside Hotel does 5 pizzas on a Wednesday, and they're pretty good.
The Tollgate Hotel just has the cheapest menu of all time :lol: And Ivan Milat took a nurse from there, so there's history and all that as well

Cho Gao (The Asian Beer Cafe) in melbourne does $4 Pizzas from 6-10pm. And they're delicious.

Well the Hillside Hotel is my watering hole... So it's delicious =;

I'm familiar with the bar in question. Used to always be full of underage girls and slurries :lol:

Yeahhhh there can be quite a few under-agers in there. But my God, the average girl in there is about as good as it gets. Since the renovations last year the vibe has changed a bit which I like. It also happens to be the highest concentration of Daddy issues known to man, which I also love :lol:

Yeah, I've got a few mates who live out west so I know a few of the bars out that way.

I can't say I'm a fan of going into a bar where I have to card a girl before I have to start hitting on her. I haven't been up there since they renovated.

To be honest, I've only ever run into three people there that I knew were underage. I know a huge number of people there, because the district itself is pretty tight knit, no-one moves away and with social media, these days everyone in our area knows everyone.

Not too bad either when you have friends who work at the bar :lol:

This is why I go to most of the bars I go to :lol: I haven't paid full price for a drink in I don't know how long.

I didn't realise that Cho Gao was classed as obscure.

My new favourite place is Sweetwater Inn tucked in behind the Jam Factory.

Who said it was? I only mentioned it because cheap pizza was mentioned.

In terms of 'obscure' places...Saigon Sally's off Chapel St.

I'd also mention the Baron in Castle Hill, but it's so hipster that it's mainstream :lol:

From memory the Penny Black on Sydney Rd have similarly priced pizzas, although I was in a state that would have made cardboard delicious so I can't vouch for quality.

coming home from wollongong one time we decided to go the ocean road. that scarborough pub had a pretty decent feed and the most brilliant view. well worth checking out

The Baron is a frequent spot of mine, as is the hillside, and its still filled with underage slurries, if you know where to look... (bistro ;) )

Several of my friends work at the Baron, including one of the head chefs and a few of the waiters...

Place over here called Paddy Malone's is an irish pub/restaurant who have some cracking food. Bangers and Mash was fantastic. They also do a cracking Sunday roast but my favourite was the Ulster Fryup, its an all day brekky with all the trimmings including black pudding. So good, pricey, but good.

How much did the Ulster Fry-up cost you?

That said, I'm usually either down stairs or outside upstairs, I'm to old for ecstasy and dancing to fat beats of the enormous DJ.

18/19 is about standard. Expensive for breakfast but almost always worth it.

If you're ever in Santa Rita do Sapucaí, check out Bar das malas - Great fish, 2 dollars for a litre of beer and you dont have to worry about the petrol pumps blowing up when you have a smoke because they assure me that they turn them off before they put the chair and tables out. (yes thats right, its a petrol station cum outdoor bar at night!)
