Soccer Stoppage Time were just saying that GVE wants him to play on the left as a three prong attack.
A transfer fee may be a stumbling block.

We nearly signed him before he went to Adelaide, and again before he went to Incheon. There's definately been multiple attempts to get the bloke.
This either means GvE will be playing Goodwin at leftback or he's set to leave. Either way, it's better for his overall game IMO.
Could be a pretty lethal lineup we're putting together:
--------------Biraz------------- Brillante---Chapman--?----Goodwin -------Zadkovich----Caravella---- --------------Brown------------- --Taggart-----Heskey-----Burns--
BK, Neville, Regan, Cooper, Hoole, Gibbs, Virgilli, Bridges, Oxborrow
It relies heavily on the centre back they've promised to sign, and relies on Brown re-finding form as he was worse than useless last season.

Not bad... Love Nath, his few caps for the roos a couple of years back showed he can still be a great player.

They also said that Incheon wouldn't let the Jets keep him past February.

would be a great buy and a good move for him. getting back in front of holger week in week out before the world cup may convince him to come. it has work for vidosic and milligan.

It relies heavily on the centre back they've promised to sign, and relies on Brown re-finding form as he was worse than useless last season. Burns in for JB, Goodwin at LW, find a foreigner for LB. Taggart isn't a winger - Virgilli at RW. A lack of defensive ability throughout the midfield will put heaps of pressure on Caravella too.

Taggart isn't a winger - Virgilli at RW. A lack of defensive ability throughout the midfield will put heaps of pressure on Caravella too. If you know GvE you know he near refuses to play two strikers, so Taggart is out wide out because he won't take the target man spot, yet is still great enough to start. And if you think Virgilli can do better than Taggart in that position, you need to watch the two more IMO. The idea behind Caravella is GvE wants him to be the box-to-box man. Between him and Zadkovich, we may have the most engines in a midfield seen since McKay & Murdocca. Maybe if GvE can get the running around frantically enough, something good might happen. It's not the ideal, but may work. It seemed to go OK towards the end of last season. Another option may be to put Brillante in the middle and move Zadkovich to RB, but I see Zad as wasted out there. For Goodwin's game in general, he needs to solidify at leftback. He's useful at LW, kills it at times, but the moment he goes O/S he's going to be looked at solely as a leftback, and he needs to play there weekin&out to get confidence, strength and learn the position better. Plus the reason I put Burns in his position of LW was, if you looked at the rumour, he's being lined up for the left of a three-pronged attack.

I'd prefer him back at AEK, the boy can play. I hear that he is over the knee injury and it appears he is being wasted in Korea.
A-League sounds good.
