Bigger crowd and better atmosphere than the queensland state rugby league game that was just on channel 9 here

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

What a garbage match technically speaking. Just woeful. The goal was rubbish, the midfield for both teams might not have even bothered turning up, just constantly pumping it long. The sooner we get these hack journeymen out and young talent in the sooner the lower leagues will start helping to bringing talented technical minded young players through to the A-League.

Let's just wait and see how they do against the other States first before you go referring to NSW being the second strongest league after the HAL ;)

must agree there mac....however generally these matches are very good...i think this was due to the pressure of silverware and win at all costs mentality, given that last year were the best team all year by a country mile won the title first past the post then got beaten in the grandfinal....but mostly the NSWPL games are pretty bloody good....

yesterdays game was a poor game, and its a shame, but thats grand finals for ya. our boys tried hard but looked a bit buggered from their efforts over the past three weeks. it was a monster effort to make the grand final.
to those who havent watched games regularly, yesterdays game was in no way a reflection of how PL games are played. you should of seen our games against sutho and utd- they were top games.

anyay, an achievement in making the final, but sad to not win it. good numbers of travelling fans, the grand stand was full on the western side. pity the cameras werent positioned on the other side.

bring on 2014.

It didnt look like the best match technically, but Bonnyrigg did enough to get the win. After the scrappy goal, no one really looked like scoring. Shots from far, shots not on target and lots of hopeful crosses. The pressure got to both sides but Bonnyrigg definitely started better.

The crowd was decent enough, considering it was home for neither side. Probably would have been 5k-6k. Rockdale seemed more colourful with flags and a big jersey on the other side of the field, but in general, wasnt much noise coming out of either side other than the active support which seemed about 20 strong on either side.

All in all, a good day, not the best game but an arm wrestle where the stronger side won.

It might be time for fnsw to lock in a permanent finals venue. My tip is belmore or parra stadium. A bit more central than Penrith.
