You're going to force young adults to do hill climbs for an hour?

When was the last time you ever saw a football match take place on a hill?

AT what point do they actually play the game.
My suggestion would be skills work one session, second session small sided game.
Small sided games need to be varied in size 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3 , 4 vs 4 , 5 vs 5.
gym work should be on a case by case basis with a tailored program based on the persons physique.

Adding Zumba and Palaties.
to the list as it is too hot for outside training with out lights. Also to add stretching to compensate for strength training.Small sided training Tuesday nights and Thursday nights under lights.

The KNVB are adamant that all training should be done with the ball or football related.

However, Pilates, which I'm currently doing, is brilliant for core strength. I've had to quit football coaching because of a chronic bad back, but Pilates is improving it.

I think any activity that reduces injury, such as stretching and core strength, supersedes the KNVB edict. The FFA also stipulate that al training should be football related, until one gets to the B Licence conditioning sprints without a ball.

I'd run sessions like this:

Core strength injury prevention ( don't know much about this area).

Technique/ skill work.

SSGs.

Any sandhill runs, beach runs, etc can be achieved through game related exercises.

These half dozen exercises are all okay for most ages, with the SSGs featuring 4v4 or 5v5 (with keepers).

This covers quite a number of SSGs for preseason training.

If one adds the 3v1, 4v2 and 5v3 rondos, this is quite a number of exercises for SSGs. If you send me an email address, I can send you some diagrammatic detail for these rondos, Krones. I've sent them to about 17 other 442 members. The state TD has authorised me to send them to selected individuals, but not to post them on the interweb for open viewing.

Some bad news.

The European Academy sessions have disappeared from the internet.

I downloaded the whole document to my computer, thinking all individual club sessions were downloaded. I just happened to download the Arsenal one individually. Unfortunately, Arsenal is the only one I have left as a reference point. All the others have disappeared along with the site.

These were a great reference point for any coach. I've used heaps of them on the training track, but don't have the diagrams to explain them easily to other coaches any more. The FFT Game Development manager was pretty impressed with them too.

There was heaps of stuff for your coaching sessions, Krones.

It is missing one excellent shooting exercise I've used from Arsenal.

At least it is there though.

Do you know where the Chelsea, Ajax and PSV sessions can be found, Dirk?

I don't know how to do it.

I'm sure someone else reading this will know how to though.

I think it was the best football resource I've seen anywhere, although I haven't read all the revised FFA NC though.

The second and third Arsenal Player In Soup exercises, I've used a lot. Under 14 rep players didn't particularly like them, but with NPL club senior women, under 12 rep girls, and mixed ability and age football school participants, they liked them.

Just because Under 13 and 44 year old boys from a rep program, one team, like them less than other exercises, means nothing though. They liked one game that had zero football benefit, I learnt from SAP coach. He considers it crap in terms of acquiring football skills, but the players liked it.](*,)

If you know the URL (website address), stick it in the search box top centre of the page (where it says wayback machine) and search. It will give you a calendar of historical dates where they have archived the website. Click back through time until you find what you are after. The project started in the 90's, so if it was freely publicly accessible there is a chance the content is in their archive.
