I think our football should adopt some of those ticketing prices to bring more families to our game. $40 per family tickets, luv it.

About $90 odd dollars to take my wife and 3 kids to the Roar these days in the cheapest seats. It's getting ridiculous. You can get a family ticket to the AFL here in Brisbane, which includes 4 kids, for around the $50 mark.

I used to go to every game but now I'm very choosey about which games I go to. They need to make it cheaper. Not free, cheaper.

And please don't mention memberships. I have 3 kids that play sport, as do I, so membership are just not viable.

How much would it cost to be members? If you only show up for a handful of games a year then you can't expect cheap prices.

Prices are about right imo. Not sure of your financial situation and I realise kids = $$$ but if you put away $10 a week that would be a season membership for you, the wife and the 3 kids. To me that seems more reasonable than forking out the $90 every time you go to a game and you get 14 games for the price of 6!

$50 is about right not $100. Even $60 isn't too bad.

Memberships are out because sometimes all the kids want to go, sometimes one, sometimes none, sometimes we've got stuff on or I'm working away.

Memberships aside surely anyone can see that nearly $100 to go on a casual basis is far too much money. If the AFL can have a family of 2 adults and 4 kids for $52 (for a casual) why can't they have a similar setup for the Roar or any team.

I took my AFL mad mate and his family from up the road and it cost them near $90.00. He had a great time but he's never going again. (Would do if it were better value though.) How are you going to convert casuals when the prices are so high?

Given Brisbane doesn't have a high amount of members surely this is an area that needs looking at.

The average wage is about 50k ish. Let's say $52k to make things simple.
$1000 a week in wages,
lose $250 in tax.
$750 remaining.
$100 for a family ticket.
That represents 13% of your weekly take home pay. Far too much of an impost. Don't forget you can get Foxtel for less than that for a whole month. (Not that I have Foxtel, I'd rather go.)
