Allyn River, NSW because I found mushrooms there

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

So many nicer places in Vanuatu than Vila/Efate.

My parents were missionaries when I was younger, and we spent a lot of time in Vila, Tanna, and Futuna.

Tanna was the most interesting in terms of cultural & scenic diversity. Futuna is really confronting, it's basically a rock in the middle of the pacific Ocean. 4villages on the flats of the island, and a huge farm on the top of the cliff that takes all day to hike to the top of.

Woweee!!!

I lived in Vanuatu as a kid too. Parents were missionaries over there as well. Tanna is beautiful, but my favourite place would be the Blue hole in Santo. Look it up on Google if you havent seen or heard of it. Amazing Place.

In regards to amazing cities of the world, I would say Barcelona and Florence.

Haha! What are the odds?

Agreed, the Santo Lagoon is really cool - we never landed there though, just flew over it.

Is that where your parents are from? I was there in 2012. Top spot.

Spent some time in Zabljak in the Durmitor Mountains too. Brilliant scenery and good rakija.

No. Was born somewhere over the border. Would spend each summer in either Kotor, or Ulcinj growing up. Zabljak is stunning.

A few of you not exactly playing by the rules but some great pics anyway.

Also, can't believe anyone could get bored in New York. A mind blowing place.

I do love Ballaarat, but I'm kinda itching to visit home back up in the Mallee, haven't been to Pinnaroo in years. It's just a little spud and wheat farming town of 600 but if there is one thing I miss it's the beauty of the place and its serenity. I'll always be a South Australian.

Some pictures of my home;

I grew up in a small village up here in North Queensland called Paluma. It's a tiny town of about 40 or so houses nestled in the rainforest 3000ft up a mountain.

Paluma actually translates to "Thunder" in the language of the local Aboriginal tribe that used to inhabit the area, very befitting as in Summer we get storms most afternoons as well as hail like this one;

Sometimes they would pass over leaving light hail/ice clouds left in the sky

Oh and it's full of lots of lovely animals lol

I have two favourite places in the world.

The one that is outrageous & I've only been to once: Cuzco, Peru
The one that is not outrageous & I've been to many times, and genuinely want to live there one day: Wollongong (and general South Coast area)

Vancouver is nice ( the airport is the best in North America) but have you been to Whistler? Its just as good in the Summer as it is in Winter

Yeah, I lived in Van in 2012, so I hit Whistler a couple of times.

I have a video somewhere of my wife and I motorcycling around the countryside surrounding Pai in Thailand. There was a bit of a bend and a crest, and suddenly we were just blown away by the awe and beauty of the rolling green hills leading into shear rock faces.

I can't find the video, but found a few pics on the facebooks.

(I'm pretty sure there was ACL on at the time, which is why I had my MV jersey on)

Penang, followed by Kyoto and Valencia.

They stand out above the rest through my experiences eating there, as well as having a nicer pace and atmosphere for being a tourist when walking the streets.
