Quite happy with the squad, although leaving out Quaresma was surprising when he has done a lot more than Nani and Varela in the past year. Our downfall will be up front as Postiga and Almeida aren't great goal scorers for the national team, leaving Ronaldo to hold the weight in the goal scoring duties. I have high hopes that we can go far in this tournament and with the cup being held in Brasil it will be a slight advantage. However in true Portuguese form we more than likely beat Germany and lose to USA and Ghana.

It is, he is playing it safe, I would have liked to see at least a couple of our younger players like Illori , Cedric, Josue, Bruma or Pizzi given a chance, only William Carvalho will be the only player under 25 to get a run.

Your right but there is some serious talent being over looked. Not that any would necessarily break into the starting 11 however someone like Bruma, josue or Pizzi upfront would give a different and probably better option than Postiga.
