NPL Queensland is second div. NPL1 is third div. Massive difference.

This, if NPL Queensland can deal with teams from Gold Coast to Cairns then Vic can deal with trips to the Murray and back.

That bald bloke is Paul Millynn. Absolute legend. His son is one of the best players I've ever played with.

A combined Murray team would dominate Victorian football. The quality out there was phenomenal when I played for the wodonga diamonds.

I played two seasons with the wodonga diamonds. They're a great little club. It's great for the region to have this team in place. The grounds at la trobe are excellent quality but need a good grandstand at one end.

There should be a way in to the league through regional set ups. Some gems could be unearthed.

Most of the Cobram guys are happy with playing in the Goulburn Valley Suns set up.

There are interesting times ahead for Riverina Football then. The AWFA might as well cut all ties with Football NSW/Football Riverina and just become a full member of the FFV. With all the best players going to the Murray United NPL team, the local comp may suffer a fair bit.
When all the best players in Wagga formed the Eastern Wanderers this year to play in the Griffith League, the Wagga comp has dropped in quality a lot. And with Griffith talking up getting a team into the NSW state league, the landscape is changing quite a bit.
I guess it’s good for all the juniors now though, as the best Albury kids can now play with the NPL Murray United youth teams, and all the best Griffith (+some Wagga) kids already playing in the NSW Regional Youth League as the Riverina Rhinos.
That La Trobe Uni Ground is the Wodonga Diamonds home ground and is ok for a country facility, nothing special though.

That's true but tbf, it's 3rd div (second in vic). Obviously NPL has been working well if they are expanding it. It mentions an expansion for sponsorship as well. It does cover a large area of the state.

One industry that could benefit could be the milk market. It can tug the heart strings of the rural community, it's in high demand by the Chinese and would be a good mutual relationship.
