Time and Time again she has retreated in cowardice over this matter. If you want it so bad, let's have a vote. Or is she and her homosexual agenda cohorts in fear of an overwhelming defeat if the vote goes to the people? Polls consistently show support for gay marriage in Australia is around 70%. Why do you care if gay people marry each other? i dispute your slanted polls and the reason is its a complete waste of taxpayers money its also a waste of time political football. its of no consequence and you people are just greedy and self absorbed But I desperately want to marry you.

Seriously, nothing against him being gay but i have something against him being a money hungry, prick. If he has all these problems with self-esteem and depression why do you sell out your personal life?
I got no respect for the man, not because he is gay but because he sold out. No one cares he is gay why did he have to milk it?
He should give that money to charity if he had any decency about him.
I supported him throughout his depression sage and personal issues but i can't ever respect a sell-out.
Edited by Davstar: 14/7/2014 08:18:14 PM You could tweet something or get paid $250000 to say it and explain yourself, which would you choose? Fair point but i don't celebrate people sellouts and no one should appreciate this moron, good on him for coming out. Read the thread its an appreciation for a sellout WTF is wrong with Australians!?

Sure Ian Thorpe came out after his career ended, what's to say that won't inspire a gay kid in the afl, nrl or a-league next? It's what inspired michael sam in the nfl after Michael Collins came out.
I agree it shouldn't matter, but until there's full equality it does. i'm not a fan of marriage just for personal reasons but you do realise if homosexual "marriage" comes in, in the spirit of fairness, equality, anti discrimination, anti-hate and tolerance, there should be nothing stopping incest relationships from marriage equality, likewise adult-child relationships. be careful what you wish for Ahhh the slippery slope argument. Why not dogs? Why not stop at inanimate objects? It's not always a dumb argument but in this case it definitely is, just draw the line at consenting adults. It's pretty easy I know it will make many people gag but if 2 cousins want to get married why shouldn't they? It's not like we're stopping them from fucking by banning them from getting married, Adelaide already exists :d EDIT: Just did a quick google search and you already can marry your first cousin in Australia. I agree it shouldn't matter, but until there's full equality it does. When I say I don't care, it doesn't mean that Im ignorant or homophobic. Its just that someone coming out and saying they are gay doesn't really get my attention...and the same applies if someone came out and said they were heterosexual. Whatever they do in their personal lives doesn't interest me. Sure it might be a good thing that it might inspire other gay people, but there are some people who don't particularly care. Its a bit like if I hear news about the Kardashians or the Beckhams... I really don't care because it doesn't interest me. Edited by SocaWho: 15/7/2014 09:58:16 PM
