He looks like the bloke who played David Hill from Howzat the TV mini series.

Hell even Glenn archer was saying what do key back men have to do to poll votes . Hell even the aflpa and numerous media awards have all become midfielders medals

The favelas in Brazil are in raptures Edited by marconi101: 23/9/2014 02:40:34 PM
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

may not be the best player or one of the top 5 mids in the comp but he is a star, absolute ball hoarder probably one of the most popular winners in a while

Yeah he pretty much did a Steven Bradbury here, Ablett would've walked this in by a mile without his injury. Fyfe would've been next if hadn't missed the weeks he did, same with Josh Kennedy missing the last 2 & 3/4 games. Fair play to him, he's earned the medal & a great story but he's far from the best player in the comp

That being said he had a fair bit of luck here IMO, he's a very good consistent player but my problem with him is that for all the possessions he gets and the good inside work he does he isn't anywhere near damaging enough to be considered one of the best which is why he was overlooked for All Australian IMO.
I thought this year was a particularly shit count considering how things went down, Selwood was unlucky, Rockliff and Gray should have had way more votes. How Dangerfield came so close I'll never know, he's one of the top 3-4 players in the comp on his day but those days were few and far between this season, he had a very average season by his standards and didn't deserve half of what he got. There were comfortably at least 10 better performing mids in the league than him this year, arguably he wasn't even in the top 15 IMO.
Edited by fredsta: 23/9/2014 09:41:39 AM Would've been a public holiday for SA if Dangerfield won it. Largely overrated here

Stoked for him. He's been my favourite player for the last few years, so happy he's finally getting the recognition he deserves outside of WA.
In all honesty, Fyfe is a better player, but Priddis is way more important. He carried our midfield this year. Without him, we would've been utter shite, he was consistently good every week. He's also a top bloke off the field.
Having said that, he's lucky Ablett was injured in the last 8 games, he was running away with it.
To think he was overlooked
