Target issued a statement saying they respected the MAJORITY of their customers and the pulled the game.

It's a free world, we live in a market based, capitalist system. If Target, who are a private company don't forget, decide it's in their interest to not sell an item then what the fuck has it got to do with anyone.

Buy it somewhere else and let your wallet and feet do the talking.

Here's what you can do, set up a page to encourage people to boycott shopping in target stores this Christmas as a protest if you feel strongly about it.

It's not surprising, targets main market would be women so they want to keep them onside in the lead up to Christmas.

I've worked at Myer and David Jones during my uni days and in the training they tell you that they design their stores and their marketing for middle aged women because they tend to spend the most money. Target tries to cater for the same demographic but maybe a slightly lower income range.

Target probably realised that given its unlikely to sell many copies of this "old" game, it would suffer more with the negative publicity generated by this petition so it decided to pull the title.

I would also be surprised if Target sold R rated movies as well, given their "family-friendly" nature.

Whilst its true that women cop more gender discrimination than men in society, there are instances where men experience gender discrimination and pointing that out is neither misogynistic nor inappropriate.

Nor should white straight men be made to feel guilty about everything in our society.

Pretending there is any kind of equality in the level of gender discrimination suffered by men compared to women is both deluded and misogynistic. To even try to equate them is utterly ridiculous. Gender discrimination suffered by men is rare and usually trivial by comparison.

The only reason you should feel guilty is if you think you've got it tough because of women. Then you are guilty of being a fool and should feel bad. Look at your life and look at your attitudes, address them and maybe your life will get better.
