wiki wrote:The three-legged (or tripedal) crow is a creature found in various mythologies and arts of East Asia. It is believed by East Asian cultures to inhabit and represent the sun.
In Japanese mythology, this flying creature is a raven or a Jungle Crow called Yatagarasu (八咫烏, "eight-span crow" ) and the appearance of the great bird is construed as evidence of the will of Heaven or divine intervention in human affairs.
Yatagarasu the Crow-God himself is symbolic specifically of guidance. This great crow was sent from heaven as a guide for Emperor Jimmu on his initial journey from the region which would become Kumano to what would become Yamato. Edited by paladisious: 11/1/2015 11:46:36 PM

Davstar wrote:I think Japan have got this...
Edited by Davstar: 10/1/2015 10:11:11 PM He is one of the most overhyped players I have ever seen. Labelled as the king of the flop in the EPL in so many papers in UK before and even after he was kicked out of Man U by Van Gaal, labelled as one of the worst performers of the 2014 World Cup across various countries, ranked the 339th of all players played for the WC and continuing to be one fo the worst performers in the Budensliga this season. (He is finally dropped from Klopp's starting 11 in the last 4 matches for the team that is fighting to avoid relegation.) He has scored 2 goals in some 68 matches in the last couple of seasons. He is a symbol of the corrupt JFA and the way the national Japanese fooball is run. Kagawa has never been the key player for Japan. The reality is that Japan has struggled over years to fit him into the team. Due to his powerful sponsors he has stayed in the team despite his recent atrocious performances. There are better players than him successfully playing as attacking players in Bundesliga: Kiyotake, Okazaki & Inui. Kiyotake in particular has been fantastic for Hannover, picking up a weekly best 11 award several times in Germany, but it’s very unlikely that he can start ahead of Kagawa who is now to play as a central midfielder for Japan. It’s disgusting that our media like Fox Sports is using sources of information fed by his sponsors’ media fraternity and hype him up as if he were a very important player for their NT. It shows either their ignorance/a lack of ability to research independently by themselves, or there is some kind of deal between Australian media, esp. Fox Sports and his sponsors, including a religious fraternity which is much disliked in Japan. Edited by verbatim100: 12/1/2015 12:23:15 AMEdited by verbatim100: 12/1/2015 09:55:34 AM

Palestine have one cracking player that I saw a video of the other day... However I'm hoping for an East Asian Cup style score line.

I really want to see Japan kill someone, but I want Palestine to do well. Hard times.
Atmosphere should be pretty sweet for this.

$23 for the Palestine win lol, $1.44 for over 2.5 goals is generous, though.
