Burns needs to pack his bags go back to NZ and never come back! Franjic can F*** right off, can't cross and doesn't have a clue where to position himself. Juric F***n should of went to the CSL this bloke isn't ever going to make it in Europe when you miss from 5 yards out! Mckay how does he keep getting selected he is shit, can't pass, no skills, no ball control and can't win the ball in the air. Milligan "happy to be second to jedi" because you're shit, you're f***n shit Edited by Davstar: 18/1/2015 09:08:30 AM

I'll chuck my rant in. But another angle. Not players
My first time to brisbane. So the heat and humidity was new. That was fun CHRIST
But, having gone to the Melbourne game last week. I honestly feel like I'd switched sports a week later. That was without a doubt an Aussie crowd. Not a football crowd.
The general lack of understanding and appreciation for aspects of the game was astounding. Maybe I'm too used to hindmarsh and aami park but it really caught me off guard. To be the only one within 2-3 bays to be applauding a superb tackle or cleared ball. Or acknowledging good play by the Koreans. It was odd. Also I think Aussie Aussie Aussie was all I heard people yell all night.
Someone from brisbane might be able to fill in whether this was normal for a bris socceroos game but another thing I found was an overbearing number of counterfeit/fake tops and cricket tops. Polar opposite to melb where everyone was in an official top. Lots with names on back etc. minor thing of course just an interesting observation.
All in all I enjoyed the trip to Brisbane it was just a very odd game to be at. No doubt at all that the Koreans made the atmosphere worthwhile last night. They were wonderful.
My next trip is the final. So I hope we make it not just for obvious reasons but I would be interested to see further comparisons with a Sydney socceroos crowd. However if we don't make it I'm really hoping for Iran vs Japan. I think that would be a wonderful final if we can't take part.

^ Sydney isn't much different to Brisbane tbh. Both very much Rugby League influenced.
Would rather a Japan v Iran final from an atmosphere perspective

definetly where you were sitting, ive been sitting with a mix of roar members from my bay and well football fans because they been to every single game in brisbane. who cheered when the aussie pressed well, put in tackles. but really you could say brisbane got 20k football fans, the rest would have been bandwagon. hence the mix of shirts (and who the fuck cares they not wearing an offical socceroos shirt) when you have another 28k of bandwagoners. 20k brisbane football fans would have filled aami and would have been different. i think you would have seen the same crowd dynamic if the melbourne game was at a bigger stadium, because at ammi only football fans would have gotten the tickets early.
TBH i don't think i've seen the socceroos play a good game in brisbane, A lot of brisbane fans a little jaded by this. Last night didn't help.

That is typical Brisbane, the only part you missed of the authentic QLD match day experience was overbearing security who stand in front of you for the fun of ruining the match. It is shit in every way.

This is off-topic but I did not wan to start a new thread. Anyone knows what happened to Aaron Mooy? Why isn't he in the Australian national team? He was a formidable threat to China teams (national or club) each time we play Australian teams.

WaMackie wrote:needs more "I come here to look at player Mooy, he on fire, how stop him" The coach did not like him or what? I am actually not a fan of soft-spoken introverts. But I suppose Mooy will be effective against East Asian teams. We do not see players like that too often in the domestic league. Defense does not pay enough attention before the ball enters 30 meter range. Passing or shooting (accurately) around 35 meter can be deadly. Edited by chinese_player: 20/1/2015 02:43:12 PM
