I'd love to see Rogic fit again, playing regularly.

In my 42 year history of watching the Socceroos, apart from Harry at his best, I've never seen a Socceroo worry defences like Rogic has done at times.=d>

I hope that wasn't an agent video, as that was the worst way to show Rogic off. Majority of that was from one game, there would of been some other highlights they could of added, surely?

Key word there. Went missing many times during his stint at Victory.

Having watched him play live a fair few times for MV and the National Team I found him to be terribly lazy, very little defensive effort in BPO.

Hope he improves this side of his game because Ange nor any Euro coach worth their salt will sacrifice having a creative midfielder on the park with very little defensive output.

I appreciate both Kewell and Rogic, and the wonders they do to defences - but you don't consider Tim Cahill to be more worrying to opposition defences than them two? Kewell and Rogic worry(ied) defences with their footwork and skill, no doubt, but Cahill pretty much demands to be double-marked at all times and STILL has more aerial threat than two marking defenders at most times. Cahill is extremely physical, to the point that he gets away with a lot of fouls uncalled, and in being such an aerial threat puts a lot more importance for the wide defenders to shut down a cross to prevent the service he gets.

Rogic needs to get fit, fitter than he has ever been before so that he can run out games properly.

Far out that vid reminded me of how good that CCM/Victory game was, one of the highest quality football matches to have been played in the A-league.

Rogic wouldn't fit into the current Socceroos 4-3-3 formation.

He lacks mobility and defensive discipline to be effective in that formation. He might be more suited as a false 9 in that 4-3-3 or even ideally in a different variation where he has more defensive protection, probably in a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-1-2.

IIRC he has at least a year left at Celtic and is still injured, why would he move and who'd want him?

Needs to come back and play a full season in the a league then look abroad again. He needs to get good game time quickly and get back into the socceroos while the team is gelling so well cause he will be a very important for the national team in the future.

I think he would..

Jedinak
Rogic Luongo

Luongo is the type that could play at 6, 8 or 10. The way we've been playing with a holding mid + two 8's worked well in the cup. For a more conservative approach you'd have Milligan in there, lets Luongo play with more freedom at times, but in an ideal world with Rogic fit, he'd be the playmaker, Luongo his deputy, playing the roll of a box to box midfielder and Jedinak in behind them..

If Rogic gets himself fit and playing regularly, I can see this happening in later in the year.
