According to the Daily Telegraph, WSW lead the pack of HAL clubs chasing the two.
It makes sense, as both are Sydney boys, and I know that Jamieson's family live around Epping, which isn't very far from Parra...
If it happens, I'd be absolutely gutted. They're two of the best players in the league.

Whilst I personally wholeheartedly agree that no agreement is warranted for what Sage and co did, apparently only two clubs have not entered into this informal agreement. And it's interesting that WSW seem to be one of the two.

Bit of a soft spot for Jamieson. I thought he was quite handy at Sydney. Started off a bit sluggish, but by the end of his stint he was one of our better defenders. Ggot forward a bit too earger, and forgot to track back. Both would be big losses for Perth. Vuko would be a good replacement for Covic who I can't see the club renewing due to his erratic form this season. Jamieson will join the Tour de A-League is he does move, joining his 4th A-League club. This salary cap scandal will hurt Perth for years to come. Can see them losing a lot of players, and struggling to attract much quality.
WOLLONGONG WOLVES FOR A-LEAGUE EXPANSION!

I would be giving no concessions to a team that intentionally tried to screw me out of competition points by blatantly cheating. On the other hand you have to consider the poor bastards on these contracts and the fans. It's a tough one but from my perspective the club deserves to take some more hits before this is all over

Heineken wrote:This salary cap scandal will hurt Perth for years to come. Can see them losing a lot of players, and struggling to attract much quality. Eh, I doubt it. Bans like the death sentence given to SMU in the 90's killed the program because they operated on a scholarship basis. No scholarship? No talent. Perth is always going to have the money. It will simply be an issue of trust. It didn't hurt the storm that badly. I think if the FFA had made a ruling that there were to be no finals series for 2 seasons then I think it would have been very damaging. But it was a fine and an instant ban with no lingering effects. They'll be fine

According to my Contracts Thread Jamieson is contracted until 16/17, with an option for 17/18, whilst Maclaren is out of contract now. Therefore I am led to believe Glory can do nothing to stop Maclaren if he chooses to leave, unless there is something unexpected in his contract that keeps him tied to Perth or something.

Yeah, so he's giggling that they got it completely wrong

Maclaren is on a three year contract so one year to go http://www.sbnation.com/soccer/2013/7/1/4482782/jamie-maclaren-perth-transfer-blackburnhttp://www.transfermarkt.com/jamie-maclaren/profil/spieler/173591http://footballcentral.com.au/maclaren-ready-to-fire-for-glory/

I'm happy enough with that info to change the thread. Ignore my post then - Maclaren seems to be tied to Perth.

-PB If Maclaren is leaving it is because of a lack of game time/opportunity. Why would he go to Victory to sit on the bench behind Berisha and FBK and in direct competition with Barbarouses? Much more likely to end up at WSW or Newcastle.

Agreed. Maclaren will go to a club that can offer him a starting spot.
