With Wollongong Wolves defeating Lions in the NPL Final, the season comes to an end for 2019. Here are the Top 25 clubs in Australian Football. Wolves started the year ranked 42nd & finished in 15th, but APIA Leichhardt finish 2019 as the highest ranked NPL club.

It's been a long time since I updated the rankings here, and it looks like all of the previous images are lost with tinypic shutting down. So here are the current Top 25 clubs in Australian football. Western United will be added in the next week or so at the same level as Central Coast Mariners. Full list of 372 clubs at tporankings.com

+xWould like to see how Bentleigh Greens to Adelaide City do against Brisbane Roar or WSW. Also, is it possible for Perth to hit top spot this year or is the gap simply too wide? ~100 pts. It's probably too wide a gap unless Sydney drop a lot of points. Having said that, Finals count for extra so Perth winning the GF would push them up quickly.

+xI’ve never got on with “ranking” systems tbh (no offence, I don’t even like the ones FIFA produce) but the time and effort to put this list together is impressive. And it’s great to see all the club names on one list creating something our administration seems reluctant or unable to do/acknowledge. Just on a point of detail. How do you deal with results against HAL youth/reserve sides in the NPL? Do you ignore wins, draws or losses against them or do you account for them? Secondly and an extension of that, is there a list that includes the rankings of the various HAL NPL teams? The A-League youth teams are treated as a separate club for the sake of the rankings. But I don't separate the NYL team from the NPL team - they are treated as one. The full rankings has all Youth teams in there, but here's the snapshot.

+x+xFull rankings updated at tporankings.comCentral Coast Mariners fall further, now down to 17th. When will you put Western Melbourne at 375th? lol Loving your ranking posts as always. They'll go in some time during the A-League offseason, but unfortunately it won't be at the bottom of the rankings ;). New teams either take on the score of the team they replace (in the case of pro/rel), or equal to the lowest ranked team in their league. So we'll have to settle for Western Melbourne at 17th.

Here are the top 25 after tonight's FFA Cup games. You can see the inter-state adjustment at work for some clubs that didn't play tonight, but where a club from their state did.

I'm not a fan at all of the Championship model for determining promotion or relegation, so I like that it's going next year.

+x+xYour simulation for NSW NPL at present. Relegation is based on the club championship consisting of a weighted calculation of the cumulative combined points of the u18s, u20s and men’s as followsChampionship points per round = u18 points + 2 x u20 points + 4 x men’s points (loss =0, draw =1, win = 3).So if all 3 teams win, championship points = 3 + 6 + 12 (19 pts)Here is the link https://nplnsw.com.au/club-championship/NSW NPL is being restructured next season to reflect the system you indicate Yes, you are correct and I know about the Championship model. Queensland has used it previously as well. So the relegation % for NSW should read as the probability of finishing last, not necessarily for relegation. Thanks! Especially when Sydney FC are equal 9th in the championship due to their u18s and u20s being at the top of their respective tables and Bonnyrigg last with poor form across the board so far.
