There's no way WSW will pay a big transfer fee for him.

Western Sydney Wanderers poised to swoop on Dario Vidosic •THE AUSTRALIAN •SEPTEMBER 18, 2015 12:00AM •
•Ray Gatt
Sports reporter
Sydney
Dario Vidosic is expected to make a return to the A-League this season and Western Sydney is tipped to make a move for the Socceroo.
Vidosic has been in limbo since being released by Swiss club FC Sion earlier this month, unable to find a club in Europe.
The attacking midfielder has had a frustrating time since July, when it was reported Sion had placed an unrealistic $3 million transfer fee on him despite the 28-year-old still having another year left on his contract with the club.
Given his options are now limited in Europe, it is no surprise that Vidosic, who is keen to keep his Socceroos career on track, is tempted by a return to the A-League.
He started is professional career with Brisbane Roar, playing 17 games and scoring five goals during the 2006-07 season.
On the strength of that season, Vidosic made a move to Europe with German club FC Nurenberg (2007-2011) and also had loan spells with Duisburg and Arminia Bielefeld in that time.
However, he was forced to return to the A-League in 2011, making 51 appearances (15 goals) for Adelaide United before again trying his luck in Europe in 2013 with Sion.
Vidosic managed 46 games and scored eight goals with the Swiss side but struggled to keep a regular starting position.
While his father, Rado, is assistant coach of Melbourne Victory, Western Sydney are looming as a strong possibility to secure the 28-year-old’s services. The Wanderers don’t have much room in the salary cap but could sign Vidosic as their Australian marquee, allowing them to pay him outside of the cap. Vidosic would add even more depth and class to the club’s playing roster, especially in the attacking third of the field.
He is comfortable playing out wide or as a No 10.
Vidosic is also keen to add to his tally of 23 caps for the Socceroos.
As national team coach Ange Postecoglou has shown in the past, playing in the A-League is not a drawback to Socceroos selection.
Vidosic would be all but guaranteed a regular starting spot at the Wanderers and that would only enhance his international prospects.
Another overseas-based Australian, Robbie Kruse, has suffered another injury that will sideline him for at least a month.
Now playing with VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga, the attacker injured a hamstring in training.
Kruse, who joined Stuttgart on loan from Bayer Leverkusen at the start of the season, has only just come back from an achilles injury that sidelined him for four months.
That followed his return from a long layoff because of a ruptured ACL.
Meanwhile, Football Federation Australia and the players’ union will resume talks next week with good signs they will finally agree on a new whole-of-game collective bargaining agreement.
The two parties made some headway on Wednesday in the eight-month long dispute and were expected to meet again yesterday.
However, they will now meet on Monday and also have the option of more talks the following day.

Why do journo's keep referring to it as the "aussie marquee". It's just the second marquee spot. No need to add aussie at the front because it doesn't matter where he's from. Otherwise might as well start naming each marquee based on nationality.

Not anymore. Oh shit, I heard about the rumour but I didn't know it had been officially shifted. Either way, the term is still not wrong, he'll be Aussie and he'll be marquee.

3rd A League club. Unable to help his previous clubs to a championship. Wasted marquee spot imo. Under the cap wouldve been fine.
