Surely we should start treating the Matildas as Australian Footballers?

442 don't even have a tab for them on the front page. Yes there is a story up but the drop down tabs feature MLS and the CSL but no Matildas.
TWG have them listed under the Socceroos tab but have absolutely zilch about them linked to the current tournament. No table, results, fixtures, nothing.

I was wondering if somebody might acknowledge that the Women representing this nation in its most popular organised women's team sport should be rightfully viewed as part of "Australian Football".

If the forums start pigeon-holing their efforts as "Asian" football, then what fuckn hope have we got that the simpletons that run the football web sites will organise themselves enough to fix it up.

Some shame called for.

Also kind of ironic for the progressives at sbs to have limited coverage

Agree with both of you. I put it in "Asian" tab due to the comment on Japan as well. Of the 2 items, this is the bigger shock and hence the placement.

Cheers

In June, as the Matildas' success in the FIFA World Cup climbed, reports began circulating about how little the players were paid in comparison to their male counterparts, the Socceroos.
