If we're going to stick with an Australian manager, then I'd say Muscat although I'm open to the idea of Milicic taking over.

Sorry to say but I am very anti-Muscat for the NT job. Muscat has done well at Victory, but he has only ever worked at one club, and that club is one of the most well resourced in the country. He needs to show his merit at another club/level before he should even be in contention.

err, yeah, nah .....There isn't an Australian coach good enough at the moment.

Yep. Hiring Australian for the sake of it is fucking pointless atm.

Homegrown managers should stay as far away from the national team. One day they'll be up to it, but def not now.

That said, not just any foreign coach will do.

yeah and nothing has changed in the meantime...  like pretty much the entirety of the AL where arnie has become the most successful coach in the whole comp. (ffs).

What Arnie does now is the same as 10 years ago he just has a better group of players now.

I tend to agree. I don't think any aussie at this stage is good enough. We need some coaches to do well here and overseas.
Club football is different to international. You just cant enforce a system at the last moment, trying to fit players in. You need to play to your strengths.

Maybe people on here aren't old enough to recall our first foray into the Asian Cup under Arnie's tutelage.

We've tried Angeball and this ridiculous back three and it's landed us in nowhereland.

It's time to give Australia's top job to Australia's top manager: Graham Arnold, Socceroos legend and the best coach to grace the A-League (2 Championships, 2 Premierships, Top Two finish 5/6 times, the most successful season ever in 2016/17).

Not only is Arnie willing to play football that suits the players he has to work with, he's far less arrogant than Ange - Arnie has learnt from failure.
