So we need to beat Thailand by at least 2 goals more than Saudi beat Japan. Doesn't sound that bad when put that way.

I reckon the Thai game plan will be to park a whopping 10man bus with two banks of 4 on the edge of the box, looking to break forward and snatch a goal.

They'll let us knock it around in our own half and part of theirs as much as we want and fight for an "honourable loss" - the kind the Angeroos know so much about.

I expect we'll win, but don't necessarily expect a thrashing. Anything more than 2-0 will be hard to come by.

Even if Japan take the night off they have enough pride to not get belted, the Saudis at best will win 1-0 or 2-1

If we'd won last night Id have wanted us to play Mabil, Amini and a few of the fringe players against Thailand. Cant hold it against Japan if they do the same.
