A-League newcomers Western United are not ruling out shifting games from the cavernous GMBHA Stadium to smaller venues which would more adequately cater for their fledgling fan base.The competition's newest club has plans to eventually build its own venue in Tarneit but until that happens it has signed a deal to play its matches at Geelong's AFL ground and at Ballarat's smaller Mars Stadium, also an AFL venue.

But small crowds for the opening four home fixtures against Perth Glory, Melbourne City, Western Sydney and Newcastle Jets have given officials at the club not just cause for concern but pause for thought.

The crowd for Saturday night's loss to the Jets was posted as 5688, following the 4588 turnout for the win over the Wanderers.
