He has been doing that all year on and off. We don't know why he missed the game on Friday but the official word is that he was injured. Moons cryptic answer might just be that he does not want to let on about the injury to keep clubs guessing

I wouldn't be surprised if McDonald is worried about coming back too soon and having the end of his career forced on him by an aggravation.

Would explain him training with the side but saying he is not ready to play again yet.

Macca probably wants to extend his career by being cautious over an injury.

Maccas age wouldn’t be a problem if he had ADP’s skill set. But he doesn’t. Professional teams can’t afford waddlers and passengers, even if their mindset had something to offer. 

Didn't he have a recent purple patch scoring a lot of goals in not many games for Roar, Paul?

Seems like he’s difficult to work with and Moon doesn’t need the distraction.

 I thought early in this season, or late last season, he had a patch of 6 goals in 5 games?

If 1 player makes 5 players play better then that is a value beyond goals in matches.

The mindset he seems to bring out in his teammates is what stands out for McDonald to me.

We are a much better playing side with him on the field 'waddling' than we are without him - and it is not carrying him because when he is not injured he does contribute.

I do not think he is Mr Fixall - but he is a big part of our continuing improvement as a team.

what he's not telling you is he only started in 7 of those games, 3 goals and 1 assist in 7 full games is hardy bad. In those 7 that he started Brisbane only lost once to McArthur. His lungs are probably fucked from all smoking but he'd still do a job for most sides outside the top 5

Draw was favourable first 6-8 games as we all could see and Roar fans were fapping rightly so (Waz has been MIA for a while) if we can say that barring starting off with MC - the 3 goals were against that strong MV defense :)
The 2nd weakest Club NJ BR have 2 2 games against them, last was nil all draw with hardly a shot on goal.

I'm sure he's a good influence and leader for the Club like RIMB quotes But he should be doing a heap better imo accounting for his experience.
Even with smoke filled lungs he should be standing out period.
