+xI watched a couple of Anges interviews post treble win and, despite not coming straight out with it, it really does seem like hes about to move on.... Still not sure its a smart move for him but holy Moses how could anyone say no to EPL football? From Middle Park to White Heart Lane???? Go Angie. With the new WHL construction, Tottenham has gone through the transition phase of becoming a global powerhouse club. The first feww years of that you'd expect in hindsight to have been issues with the squad adjusting to a new home and the budget limitations (especially with COVID coming at the exact wrong time). Honestly, what a time for him to get the job after that's worked its way through the system. He's going to have the budget to get the players he needs to play the way he wants to play. It's just going to be fkn huge. Media here is absolutely convinced he gets the job offer this afternoon. Of course he's taking it. He worked his life for this. My boys Leeds went down but fuck have I got something to watch next season!!!!!

+x+xIf im Ange I would not touch the job, its a poisoned chalice job when top managers leave on bad terms see Mourinho, Conte and even Poch who I think wanted to stay...another year with Celtic whilst playing champions league again would be more beneficial for him in my opinion. If I'm 57, I'm not fucking around pondering how high I can go, I'm taking the opportunities. If it doesn't work out, he's not falling farther than Celtic that's for sure. I also wouldn't make life determning decisions based on Mourinho's ego. This.
And also let’s face it, ange is always ready to take the next offer.
This is an opportunity anyone would take in his position.

If Ange goes to Spurs, I wonder if HK will follow him or stay at Celtic. Even better, imagine if Ange recommended to the board that HK be his replacement. Ahahahaha. From beyond left field.
I'm not sure Harry is interested in pursuing that role at any club anymore. Harry's found his niche, should stick with it imo.

Celtic fans reckon he's gone because of the similarity between his comments this week and what he said just before leaving YFM. I think they're looking too much into what is otherwise just general FM platitudes and putting the focus on the next game. But you gotta love it how passionate that they are to even be analysing it on this level. https://www.celticnewsnow.com/news/ange-postecoglou-eerily-similar-celtic-to-tottenham-press-conference-as-yokohama-f-marinos-exit-denial-resurfaces/525749/

I've just caught up with how hot the Spurs link is now. Surely he can have a go. It's hardly career suicide. It's got to be long term and with absolute clarity. I'm not entire in the know but see comments of how absolutely shit the club is upstairs.
He's one who'll want success everywhere he goes but if Spurs still can't allow Ange to shake their curse he's got a lot of points in reserve to get a job at numerous other clubs.

Gladbach just fired their coach. That would be a very interesting role for him.
Ange went from Japan to Scotland but from Scotland to Germany seems like something very far off at this point. He's certainly going to be in the UK. I say this as Ange is still seemingly unknown in the German football media. You'd think by now there'd at least be some whispers suggesting his capabilities to revive clubs like Schalke and Hamburg.

LOL.....this will be good, like I said here or another thread, all comes down to the interview, I'm sure Levy has other/s in wings for talks but AP, tread the waters, see what the $$$'s are, feel Levy out and I'm sure his "gut" will tell him yay or nay.

+xHow are these Tottenham nuffs with the #notopostecoglou non-sense? Talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth. Like I said previously, there is an obsession in England with young coaches in cashmere v-necks. It's a Bourgeois thing. Could you imagine a Sir Alex trying to get a job in the EPL now from Aberdeen or Wenger from Nagoya?

If Ange is offered the Spurs job, he has to take it. The trend in the EPL is the younger the manager, the better (for whatever reason....).
It's an extremely ageist league (fans prefer 30-somethings in sweaters), and given Ange is on the other side of 55 his opportunity for getting a gig down south is closing.
I would hardly call it career suicide either, as he is at the back end of his career and Spurs will likely be the best pay-day he's ever going to get.
As far as challenges go, re-building Spurs doesn't get any bigger. Will he get the time? Probably not. Will he get the pay-day that will look after his family for long once he retires? You bet!

+xThe talk of Ange to Spurs has really picked up tonight. He's a clear favourite now, Celtic fans are upset and Spurs fans are trying to trend #NoToPostecoglu. I think Ange has to take the job but it's going to be tough. Realistically Spurs shouldn't finish higher than 7th next year as there are clearly 6 clubs that will spend a lot more money. But if he finishes 7th he wont survive. Last time I checked his sportsbet odds were $1.53. I can't find his odds right now which suggests they have suspended betting. Some British newspapers are going with the story that its happening. Would be huge.

+x+x+x+x+x+xAnge's odds of joining Tott enham have reduced dramatically. $2.88 with sportsbet. Rogers $3.60. Omg imagine if it happens big call if he does but I'm more led to think its press talk and betting agencies gamemanship.....but hey in his court, without anyone knowing he might be thinking its time ????? Will he risk leaving a project that takes him to another level for the Hoops next season, the triple, another throw at the dice in the CL. Like he's sitting pretty right, look what happened to Potter, he was in a great situation at Brighton, built up a lower mid table club, went the big club road, humiliated. Chelsea is one of those meat grinders at the moment where heads roll a lot faster because everyone around can't get to grips that they're just not up there anymore. At least Tottenham kind of know in their hearts that they're just good for 5th each year so he would get a far better go of it. I think Tottenham is a great club for Ange because their attacking ethos really matches Ange's way. They'd be resourced to give ange-ball the players it needs to truly shine, but the question would be if their patience matches. Another thing going Ange's way is that there'd be no fee to get him (he rolls yearly at Celtic). Currently the favourite but is going back and forth with Rodgers on a lot of markets. I mentioned earlier my concerns would be Levy, 3/4 loss on the bounce you need eyes behind your back. Yes Spurs ethos suits AP but Levy is the grim reaper and part of the prob that Conte probably would have liked to have mentioned more openly. Poch finally got them to the 2019 CL finale, yes a loss but with a slow start next season he's punted, Chosen One gets the gig gone within 17mths, Nuno lasted 4mths, Conte gets them to 4th back in CL - wheels falling off following season spoke out too much punted. Thats 4 pretty good gaffas spat out within 3yrs. I suppose looking at the gig AP might think yer wow this is the big time how can I resist - and it might work out but I just can't see Levy having the patience to crawl before you walk again. Will be interesting what prevails and to dicusss end of next season. I could be entirely wrong. Yer the Leeds mention is a rippa, I can see BOH reaction and understand but the Championship is a way better league overall but he'd lose CL participation but what a project. HK I expect would have to be released from his staff but we know AP can be a stubborn mule, imagine that happenning lol...... Love the though going into your post mate Just something I disagree with here is that Leeds just isn't a club you want to go to at the moment. I have followed Leeds since the Harr/Duke days and all through relegation and survival and at the moment the club is in a poor, poor state. 1. The management is gormless. They spent the whole last year distracted by the 49ers takeover and Radrizzani just wants his pay day. And good on him, he stabilised the club and wants to get something back from that. But how it played out was that 2 seasons ago we survive relegation on the final day of the season and our transfers goes with us selling 90 million euro worth of footballer in Raphinha and Phillips, most of the money goes into the bank and we bring in 5 million of footballers to replace it. Is that a club that survived relegation by a point? Then running concurrently we have this rediculous dreamy idea of redeveloping Elland Rd and the management's "plan" was, shit you not, statistically if you survive the first 3 years, you stay up, so let's start a build in year 4. And no players to back that up after surviving relo in year 2. 2. Look at what happens to Marcelo. He built our team in the championship and it's probably unknown to the general masses who don't have championship football sprawled over their screens like EPL, but in the 2 years before promotion, we were playing some football that was just premeditated murder on the pitch, utterly fucking teams up and playing with our food. We get to the EPL and finish a few points out of Europe, then what do we get after that? No players to maintain it and Bielsa gets arsed for not getting blood from a stone. 3. We take in an untested American manager who, credit to him, helps us beat relegation and then gets the nod to rebuild the squad, but being the tight arses we are, we try moneyballing it with a little success - not immediate successes, but top long term bets like Sinisterra and Gnonto who will be great EPL players except we won't fuckin be there in 5 years, but our key attacking platform is based on an underperforming Rodrigo whom we just assume has to be the main man because we're too proud to admit we paid overs for him. Credit to him he still manages to step up despite his arms hanging from their sockets, but the club is tighter than a nun's and we go the whole season knowing we're dead in the water after round 10, so out come the knives and suddenly we're 3 managers for the season and trying to command a squad that was built by an ex manager with no budget and a Spanish business man who knows how to count profits from selling and nothing about getting along with managers and getting in the players we need. All of this combined, what will happen to Ange at Leeds? He'll have us singing in the championship, we'll get promoted, he'll have a dreamy first year, the money either goes in Radrizzani's pockets or the 49ers if they haven't already run, then he'll be done by round 15 the following year while we're running around trying to scrape bargain bins in Holland. Love Ange, Love Leeds, don't go. We need to work on ourselves. This is some next level self critiquing honesty... Hope your journey in the champs is a short one this time round bud :)

+xTottenham are shit no matter who coaches them. you are right, I think whoever goes there is best to sell Kane get 75-100m and get 100m from Levy and do a clear out if need be. There are some good players there. Son would fit Ange's system so well.

+x+x+xLeeds could be a good move for him for his next club.
He need to leave Celtic before next European games or get out the group in Europe to get a good move (if he wants it) This is true Harry assisting won't hurt a bit either These are 2 of the dumbest ideas I think I've heard on this thread. Why would Postecoglou leave a club guaranteed champions league group stage for a championship club? Especially when he is being mooted for top 6 roles. As a celtic supporter this is downright disrespect. And as for Kewell he is absolutely hated by majority of Leeds fans. A - Do you think the board will give a stuff what some fat twats think about 'arry joining Galatasary? B - If think you over think the level of celtic. Ange will be lucky to get an offer from a big club. Not saying he couldn't do well (he is clearly a great manager) but SPL is not super well regarded. If he took Ross County to the UCL...maybe

He's learnt to jump ship at the top of the curve after being sacked in Greece, he's done it ever since He'll know whether he can actually make Celtic any better than they are right now. Leeds will be having a Clean out and Rebuild, exactly what he's done at Celtic He'll get a couple of Seasons there o get back up, which he should manage with the parachute cash. If he does that he'll get a shot at the biggies without going to the basketcase Spurs is When was the last time a big club hired a manager from the Championship?! More chance of getting a big gig staying at Celtic and hoping they impress in the CL. Or going to Tottenham, doing a decent job there. Sorry, thought I made it clear he would in the EPL at this point having got them promoted within 2 seasons.
