Sounds obvious, but if he's the same as what the club already has, he won't play. He has to be an upgrade for the club, otherwise what's in it for them? Ball's in his court.

Volendam is a smallish yoyo club-plenty of relegations in their history. If it is the case he is going there not sure is the right club but time will tell.

I like it. Bit of left field but he will stand out in that squad and should play alot. Alot of the forward line is over 30 so he should get in to the 11 just on his pace.
Couple of english players already there and one of the first team coaches looks english. Great move, Newcastle clearly did their homework.

Has it even been confirmed yet? Nothing from either club or Garang has been announced

+x+xGood league but worrying club. Being good for youth development is one thing, but they're in the relegation calculations this year and thats a very easy environment to get squeezed out of the 11 when every week in late rounds is like a final. Particularly when he is not their player. Much less incentive to play him when he is a loanee. Little incentive time for Hearts to play him. We've seen this scenario play out numerous times, most notably in Germany. Being signed from Australia by big Euro clubs rarely works out well for the Aussie players. Hoping for the best for the kid. Let's be perfectly honest. Signing for Newcastle United was a dumb move. He is FAR from ready to play for a club that will be consistently challenging for the Top 4 in The Prem. Kuol would struggle to get a game for Luton let alone Newcastle.

They look like a club that is heavily focussed on playing youth and managed by a coach that has a history of youth coaching so I see it as a good environment. He should get game time with this team.

MUCH better move!
I was disappointed when I heard he was being loaned out to Hearts. I understand the Australian element and settling into life in Europe, but one of the things you should know as an Australian moving to Europe to play football is that there is the distinct possibility that you will be on your own.
Netherlands is probably now the 5th best league in Europe and many top players are coming out of that league now. Let's hope he kicks on from here.

Main thing is that he plays regularly. Yes, he's got to earn it but park football is better than big bench piss takes

I like this move. If he’s as good as we hope he is, the Dutch will figure it out and develop him, hopefully with playing time in the first team.
