Agree, doesn't make sense However, Hendrix could be. Borello named as well. And possibly Sonny Kittel off the bench. Need to silence those dratted bells. The APL should move the game to 7 pm with 35+ Deg expected at 5pm And that brings me to why the Bulls down have bug crowds. Charging $40 for a single ticket for away fans is ripoff especially when you are in the open AND they pay token rent to Campbelltown Council. Ripoff artists. Brosque said the same on The Global Game this week

Tonight is going to be a game to simply watch and enjoy without expectation of results clouding it. The return of O'Shea is huge. The signing of Rojas promising. The loss, however temporary or long term, of Ben Cahn really sad (wish all the best for Ben and his health battles) and got to be felt by the team. Ruben stepping up and unknown quantity for us. Fine weather, home game. Should be a great night against a team full of current success and form but disrupted by absences. If we are going to get anything out of this game we are going to have to be more Ruferless than the Nix. The next step on our progression back into a competitive side. I think this round could see every away team win, but I expect Adelaide and Central Coast to be a fine battle that could go either way.
When I wear their colours, I am the club.

+xWhy did hore go off? I missed that Picked up a knock to the knee that kept him out for the last 6 weeks. Definitely think the Roar deserved at least a point, as we were the better team in the second half. O'Shea good as usual, pulling the strings. Burke-Gilroy & Trewin good in defence. Freke a great save to keep us in it. Jelacic showing why he's got big wraps, showing great skills & a perfect chip to the back post for Brown to score. Rojas looks like a great pick up for us & was linking up well with O'Shea & Jelacic. Hasn't played for 7 months, so will only get better.

Gee bennie has gotten some decent game time for a 17 yr old
Question: can you make a full team out of 18 yr olds or younger getting decent game time this season?
Bennie Irankunda Waddingham Di pizio De Jesus Jovanovic Yull Boladato Musa toure
Are the ones coming to mind for me. Not a lot of defenders mind you

Back from the ground and happy to hear otherwise as usual... Huge all round, all game improvement by Roar. Not perfect, and we did drop some intensity and stop moving far too often, but by comparison a big step forward. Hore had a Nix player roll into his planted foot/ankle which must have transferred the pressure to his wobbly knee. Heartbreaking for him and you could see it hurt him more than the injury as he walked off and was consoled by Ruben and the others. He had been creating some decent havoc for Nix and always looked like he was a chance to do something with the ball. Hingert going off with I think an elbow cut to the head when the Nix player leapt into him and wasn't watching the ball at all should have copped more than it did. I did not even see if a card was issued, but VAR did not seem to think it was worth sending the ref to the screen. Given how dangerous it was, that it injured Hingert and he had to sub off, and the player clearly had no intention of going for the ball I am aggrieved about it. The ref let far too much go all night. Several warnings to Nix players for throwing the ball away and somewhat reckless/forceful/nasty tackling then gave some more warnings - same as for time wasting on the keeper getting the ball back in play. How many times ref? The problem is that the ref was fairly consistent in letting stuff go - but only one team was playing to that level of physicality/abuse so it came across as a failure to me. Mileusnic had a poor/quiet game. He had strapping hanging loose out of his socks later in the game when he was clearly spent. I suspect he might have been running on injured/sore ankles the last couple of games which would explain his lack of impact. Burke-Gilroy had a ripper. Nikolovski and Trewin were both very effective at the back after Aldred must have taken an injury in the warmup and did not play. Before Hore and Hingert went off injured Nix were playing in their back third under constant pressure. It looked a bit like they had been coached to expect a high intensity attacking start and to sit back and absorb it - but when we played a possession based patient buildup (I don't think Nix even touched the ball until we gave them a goal kick at 2:15) they had very little impact beyond parking the bus. After the injuries we lost some of our forward drive and they came into the game more. Corey brings something to the side and I am glad we have him back. He is not afraid to go forward and use the ball well although he does not always use the ball well. Jelacic deserves a good mention. His play on the ball and in competition for the ball was good to watch and he created quite a bit for us through midfield and into the front third. He looks like he will work out well in there. O'Shea was as effective and involved as I have seen him for several games - albeit playing mostly deepish from the DM position. He is great to watch both on and off the ball with his positioning and vision. Caletti played much more of a central pivot role than an invading midfielder tonight. Kept the ball swinging across from side to side. We did not venture up the middle enough to unsettle the Nix defence though. For a lot of the game when we had possession Nix hardly had to move their two lines of defenders and, to our shame, a lot of our players only moved when they had the ball or were directly in line to receive it. Not enough threat being created to move defenders round and create opportunites and we rarely put a good ball into a central striker. In fact it was only after Waddingham went off that we started putting in some nice high crosses that he would have been there to receive. With Nix holding firm at the back Waddingham was largely without service again and had limited impact for us. Zabala came on later and he made a very timely and legal intervention to break up a fast run down our righthand side. If the player had got past him we would have been totally exposed so well done Louis for getting in clean. Our back 5 or so were very active moving and covering and I liked to see the level of communication going on. We are still very susceptible to a speedy winger putting a good cross into the box - which they did several times and we were a bit lucky that they did not score a couple that way. For some reason we just are not covering the man in the middle - choosing instead to hold our positions in the box and leave the man who receives it unmarked for a couple of metres. Frustratingly deadly for us but we persist and are vulnerable to it. Something specific for Ruben to work out. Nix had some very good runs into our area mostly starting quite deep. Their diagonal ball into the middle of the penalty area rips us a new one most times and they have the skill to both deliver the ball there and be running onto it. Tough defensive group to break down, and dangerous attacking threats. We did very well tonight compared to our recent games and I felt like we deserved the draw. Was a frustratingly enjoyable game with lovely weather for a change (woohoo) and some very promising decent play on display.
When I wear their colours, I am the club.

I just watched the PG v MC mini match and they didn't show the Arslan red card. Anyone know what happened? Was there an incident after the final whistle?

After watching so much Asian Cup on YouTube with a Czech VPN, low and behold the A League is on there too via the official channels. A bit of foreign charity promotion is good but I find this incredibly odd. It's all about money yet official streams get gifted to certain markets on YouTube. It's got to be some odd sub licencing or something.
YouTube's payer is just so seamless. I'd even pay for subscriptions if it meant having excellent access.

Is there any way the Aus govt. could fast track Angel Torres citizenship papers so we can get him into the Socceroos? Talk about technical quality what a player he is!
Two excellent finishes.

Two excellent finishes. Keep him here for 5 seasons I believe? Yeah, hey the guy is good and young and although we have a lot of good wingers coming through, why not another? Apparently he couldn't hit a barn door at previous clubs but it goes to show if you're happy and healthy you can really thrive. He loves it here. The bright lights of that smoke down south will surely be knocking on the door soon.

Torres hits the ball with the force of Thor's hammer.Early in the season his shots were ending in row Z.I don't think he will be here for five years-maybe Colombia will be watching him and the rich Asian clubs have seen him in the AFC so likely to be gone at the end of the season.

Mariners have taken a seat at the head of the table. They really are a well run club to still be going strong after all the players they have sold.
