Hi all!

I am wanting to do some research on junior registration numbers in the 80s and 90s in grass roots clubs in capital cities.

I tried emailing a bunch of clubs, starting in paramatta, but no replies so far. So I was wanting to try my luck here and see if anyone was involved in a club at a capital city that could help me out. I am just looking at total number of u17 registrations each year.

u17s actually but in principle I could look at all age groups

so I'm an academic and I am looking to write a research paper that looks at if we can see the effect found in this paper

where having a nearby team getting promoted caused player registrations to spike but getting a local team relegated caused no decline in local registrations. I am looking at whether this effect occured during the nsl era. I expect to find it even though football was small in Australia back then and it was an unusual system of p&r. The alternative approach if I can't get historical data from clubs would be to hire a polling company, but this would require raising funds

I would look to publish the paper in a peer reviewed journal if I could get enough data
