Why are some topics being locked up just because they are in another language other than English??

This is a racist policy from 442 because Australia is a multi cultural country where not everyone speaks the Queens English 100% of the time...

My club Dinamo Zabgreb happen to be from Croatia so why can't I discuss my club in the Croation language??

Because this is AUSTRALIA. inn australia, we speak english. Just like if we went over to Croatia, we would be expected to speak croatian. And it's unfair on other members who might wish to comment but cant because they dont speak Croatian, unless of course this is what you infact want, in which case, i suggest that is is infact you who is the racist one.

Yes we speak English but we also speak Italian,Greek,Turkish,Cro,French,Chinese,Vietnamese and a whole lot of other languages....

you miss my point. If this were a German website, you would be expected to post in German. If it were a russain website, you'd be expected to post in russian. and so on....

And what's the point in having a discussion in Croatian when there are only a handful of people who can understand it and respond?? wouldn't you rather it was an open discussion??

But what I want to know why was the topic LOCKED??

It wasn't abusive or anything it was a brief discussion on the Bad Blue Boys Europes number one Ultra group

Whomever locked it probably gave you an explanation. And english is an accepted official language in Croatia i think you'll find. Croatian ins't an accepted official language in Australia.

If you want to live in a world inspired by 1950's Anglo-Australia then suggest you follow AFL or Rugby League and leave football to people who respect the many different cultures our world encompasses.

And anyway the Australian Croatian community has done a lot more for Australian football than it gets credit for...

First of all, This is, as you say, "'staya 442" not the english version of the mag. hence, australian site with australian users ;)

also, you understimate the credit given to the australian-croatian contribution to australian football. Whihc is a kind of typical "woe be me" attitude really.

No one is debating that.

The fact of the matter is this is an Australian website and English is the language that will be used. Discuss Croatian football all you want, but do it in English. If you want to type in Croatian or any other language for that matter, go to a website or forum that is hosted in that language.

This website/forum is for the general public (which means English speaking) and it will stay that way.
