Maybe it's because on the grand scale of things Olympic don't matter. They are only a semi-professional club now and don't raise any eyebrows among the wider public. Also you talk about Stelios being so huge in 2001 Sydney United had arguably a bigger player than Stelios in Aljoša Asanović make guest appearences for them. Whether you like it or not Sydney Olympic are part of a big 3 from the NSL with Sydney United and Marconi and both clubs are just as big as Olympic with better results recently.

Also what is story with Olympic memberships? As the SMFC blog pointed out, you can’t obtain a membership without physically going to their Belmore offices and having two existing members sign you off…. Seems a strange way to entice members to your club? Is it just a matter of Olympic not having the internet capabilities to handle memberships any other way? If that’s the case, then that I can understand, but why do you need two existing members to sign your form?

The fact that the article is from 5 years ago is irrelevant because the ground is still in the same dilapidated state. has not been fixed at all in 5 years because the govt hasn't given anyone any money for it's repairs.

So if you're proud of playing in a dilapidated run down old stadium that's your choice. Just don't call it the best stadium in the league when it's clearly not.

haha but nah blacktown city did win it in 2007. we did the double by winning the premier league and then the final against bankstown i think it was. we also did it in 2001 i think.

King Tom has 8,000 seat capacity, Full Toilet facilities, parking and corporate box facilities and so do numerous other grounds in the comp.

Key word there being DILAPIDATED. Meaning run down and generally falling apart. Now no work has been done on the park so it is still in the same state therefore still DILAPIDATED. So how can the supposed best ground in the NSWPL be a ground that is run down and dilapidated when there are grounds in the comp that are in better shape.
