Probably because Cambiasso and Zanetti have the experience and know-how that they know when to tell Maradona to get fucked and he only wants a squad of yes-men.

I can't understand why Gutierrez and Coloccini are in the squad. It looks good in attack, but it's lacking badly in the midfield. Tissone, Fazio and Cambiasso are unlucky to miss out. Palermo there ahead of Zarate is just rude too.

Maradona is a joke. Cambiasso is arguably the best DM in the world. Zanetti has shown he still has it.

How Cambiasso and Zanetti didn't make it I have no idea why.

Gotta feel sorry for Zanetti missed out in 2006 and misses out now.

Maradona's showing a Boca bias by including Palermo, the guy has proved a couple of times that he can't play outside his beloved Boca.
