Anyone who has read Ali Williams' book, there is a system he has devised for rugby sides which requires a minimum of 8 'Ginga Points' in any starting line-up, with players given a rating of 1 to 5 ginga points.

This needs to be applied to football, as Clapham would be a 5, and Paston etc. could grow facial hair to make up the rest, making the Phoenix and Sydney (foxe) the first Ginga-Compliant sides in the competition.

Was he only on loan to Canterbury United then in the NZFC where he played every game including the Final?
How long was his contract at Dandenong for?
The All Whites midfield needs a bit of attacking flair- have a feeling he'll see game time in SA.
Maybe even against the Ockeroos in a few weeks!

Back in 1997, Terry Venables was Australian coach and Director of Portsmouth FC.

Terry copped a bit of flak for taking several Australia's to Portsmouth as a result of his dual role.

In 2010, Ricki Herbert is in a similar boat, national coach of New Zealand and coach of Wellington Phoenix.

Is Ricki using his in-house knowledge of Clapham to sign him for the Phoenix?
