Good work Hernandez !!!
Gets better each season this guy

What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Carlos Scores Against France?
MELBOURNE Victory's Carlos Hernandez scored for Costa Rica against France overnight before his side went down 2-1 in the World Cup warm-up.

Have your say.

Bloody A-league players that just can't make it on the world stage!!!!!
Where do they get off, scoring against that sort of opposition.

Dont know however there were no hands involved in Hernandez's goal, just a class strike.

"The South American side took a shock lead through Hernandez and, though Franck Ribery quickly levelled, an inspired goalkeeping display from Keylor Navas looked set to secure a draw."

Now let's wait for the apology from those MVFC-haters,who were so quick to describe Carlos as:
* too slow
* too fat
* too unfit to be a top footballer.
* He's only good in the HAL but can't compete in Asia.

Carlos Hernandez is one of the few World Class footballers playing in the HAL and is, by far, THE most gifted footballer ever to play in the HAL.

Cracking player I admire his skills but world class, I don't think so. World class players do not ply their trade in The A League.

As good as Carlos is he is not the most gifted player ever to play in the HAL. That honour would have to go to juninho.

Juninho overall career>>>than Carlos
Carlos A-league career>>>than Juninho

As poor a definition as it is World Class can be defined as representing your country, therefore unfortunately MUSCAT from Pheonix having represented MALTA is technically World Class.
By that definition and in comparison CARLOS is certainly world class.

Not to take anything off CH, but the keeper simply got a bad bounce out of that effort and should have made a regulation save.

Agreed, i said in the other thread, it was a typical shot of hernandez's from just ouside the box, but the keeper made a bit of a a meal out of it.

Pim doesn't rate the A-league player either , but about 8 of them nearly embarrassed him the other night

great shot carlos! he did squeeze it between 2 defenders, the keeper prob didn't get a good look at the bounce til too late. and in all likelihood the french keeper>>>any a-league keeper. CR have games coming up v switzerland and slovakia, hopefully he does well in those as well.

I hope the Aleaguers go well all the time. It will show people that the standard is not always related to the players ability to do a good job in other competitions.

Also the Aleague has its own style which isn't always as bad as people make out.

Just curious, does anyone know how many non-aussie/NZ internationals currently play in the A-league? Apart from Carlos of course. I know Song used to be a youth international for Korea, but who else?

btw scoring against France doesn't make him world class, its like saying Josh Kennedy is world class cause he scored against Netherlands.
